The Book Club will meet on Monday, January 21 at 7:00 pm to discuss Tell by Frances Itani.
The Southminster Book Club meets several times a year in someone’s home, to discuss a selected, non-scripture work with a spiritual theme or message. All are welcome! If you are new to the group, please contact the church office for the location.

Work Party
Every Tuesday from 9:30 am 12 noon a group meets and tackles odd jobs around the building. They do anything from painting, laying tile, refinishing wooden surfaces, repairing concrete, to hanging pictures and running errands. They can always use another helping hand or two. For more information, contact the church office.

Southminster Redevelopment Project
Southminster United Church has recently signed an agreement with Windmill Developments to sell a portion of our property. The sale is subject to obtaining re-zoning of the property that would permit Windmill to build a residential condominium complex.
With the proceeds of the sales, Southminster plans to complete some long awaited maintenance on the main church building and to renovate parts of the interior in order to efficiently continue our work in the Old Ottawa South neighbourhood.
This web page is one way we hope to keep everyone informed about the status of the project. Please return to this page as often as you like to see the latest. For now, the site has only a little information but that will change over time. As the project moves ahead, and as we can apply the resources needed to keep the page up-to-date, we will add more information to the site.
