The Book Club will meet on Monday, January 21 at 7:00 pm to discuss Tell by Frances Itani.
The Southminster Book Club meets several times a year in someone’s home, to discuss a selected, non-scripture work with a spiritual theme or message. All are welcome! If you are new to the group, please contact the church office for the location.

Work Party
Every Tuesday from 9:30 am 12 noon a group meets and tackles odd jobs around the building. They do anything from painting, laying tile, refinishing wooden surfaces, repairing concrete, to hanging pictures and running errands. They can always use another helping hand or two. For more information, contact the church office.

NOTICE OF THE 2023 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
OF SOUTHMINSTER UNITED CHURCH - SUNDAY, APRIL 23, 2023
Pursuant to the first announcement from the pulpit on Sunday, March 26, official notice is hereby given of the 2023 Annual General Meeting to be held on Sunday, April 23, commencing in the sanctuary during the worship service beginning at 10:30 am and continuing in the Fellowship Hall as soon as possible after the service. We encourage all who are interested, both members and adherents, in the present and future of Southminster to plan to attend this important event in the life of our faith community.
The purposes of the Annual General Meeting will be to:

Celebrate the work of the congregation over the past year

Receive the 2022 Annual Report

Review and approve the minutes of the three Congregational Meetings held in 2022

Approve the 2022 independently reviewed Financial Report

Receive the Report of the Nominations Committee

Conduct elections of Council Chair, Council Secretary and Church Treasurer, members of the Board of Trustees and other missional units as candidates are available

Conduct other business of the church.
